Learn about African Culture through dance and percussion. Uche will lead us on an exploration of music structure and polyrhythms of Afrobeat music and dance. Participants will be encouraged to feel the music and move to the beat! We will also join internationally recognized master percussionist John Marshall and use a variety of tuned percussion instruments including hand drums, tambourines, and more. This workshop culminates in a performance where you will share your newly acquired musical and dance skills with family and friends.
